The 14th Assitej Croatia Festival of Professional Theatres for Children and Young People of will be held in Čakovec from 17–21 October 2011. This year, all fifteen registered plays by theatres from all over Croatia will be performed. The expert panel consisting of Kim Cuculić, Jelena Kovačić and Narcisa Bošnjak will award the most successful plays in several categories. The festivals to date have been very warmly welcomed, with more than 5,000 visitors on average. This, together with the fact that Croatian theatres will be present their best achievements over the past year has ensured this festival the status as one of the leading children’s events in Croatia.

The 14th Festival of ASSITEJ Croatia also includes a diverse accompanying program. On Monday, 17 October 2011, four performances by the Network of professionally managed theatres for children and young people will be put on at the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin. This year, the network will hold its first working meetings in its workshops.

The exhibit entitled URBAN SALON by our members Leo Vukelić and Iva Matija Bitanga, renowned scenographers and costume designers will be opened at 6 pm on 18 October 2011.

The festival is organized by the Pinklec Theatre of the Čakovec Cultural Centre and Assitej Croatia.
